Accessibility Statement

1. Our commitment

428 Museum works with museums and educational and cultural institutions, so accessibility is a priority for us. We work continuously to make the site and admin panel usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.

2. Reference standard

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, as our target for the website. This is ongoing work, and we haven’t yet completed a formal compliance audit.

3. Known limitations

By their nature, some parts of the experience present particular accessibility challenges we’re evaluating:

The 3D and augmented reality viewers are primarily visual experiences; we’re exploring text alternatives and equivalent descriptive information for each piece.
The 3D viewer’s rotation and camera controls are handled mainly with mouse or touch gestures; keyboard-only use may be limited in this section.
Some narrated content doesn’t yet have an equivalent text transcript.

4. Reporting an accessibility barrier

If you run into an accessibility barrier while using 428 Museum, please let us know by writing to admin@428museum.com. Include the page where it happened and, if possible, the device or assistive technology you were using — it helps us prioritize improvements.

We’ll update this page as we make progress on our accessibility work.
